City of La Harpe’s Lamoine Valley Golf Course Opens for 3rd year Featuring Harmony Links Commercial Synthetic Turf Greens Through Harmony Links Golf

9-Hole, 2,568-yard Golf Course Maintained with 1 person for 2 Years!

The City of La Harpe’s Lamoine Valley 9-hole golf course has announced it is now open for its 3rd season, featuring Harmony Links Commercial synthetic greens.   In a typical realization of savings using Harmony Links Golf’s Renovation Advantage, the Parks and recreation department has maintained the 9-hole facility with only 1 person for the 2 years since installing Harmony Links Commercial synthetic turf greens and tees.

In conjunction with Lamoine Valley’s opening, Harmony Links Golf issued “The Harmony Links Challenge.”  “If you want to see how your greens will putt and receive shots after 3 years, and how the award-winning design can revitalize your golf course.  Contact us to arrange a visit to see and play La Harpe’s greens…you’ll be amazed by them, and you will understand what we mean by “Next Generation Golf” said Jeff Hartson, Harmony Links Golf co-founder.   “This solution is the surest path to profitability for forward thinking golf courses that want a competitive edge by lowering maintenance costs, reducing expensive staff, and having consistently great greens everyday,” he continued.

“We have eliminated all watering, mowing, aerification, fertilizing, and spraying of herbicides on our greens and tees.  We have maintained this 9-hole golf facility with over 18,000 sq ft of Harmony Links Commercial synthetic greens and tees with 1 person for 2 years,” said Barry Wright, President of the City's Parks and Recreation Board.

“If we had regular grass greens, we would require a greens superintendant, greens mowers, elaborate watering system for the greens, and aerification equipment for the greens for the 2-3 aerifications golf courses perform each year. Now I see what Harmony Links means when they say Next Generation Golf.   Everyone else has bumpy greens for the summer months.  Our greens are perfect every day!” Mr. Wright continued.

Terry LaGree, Harmony Links Golf’s award-winning golf course architect and co-founder added, “With an average lifecycle of 10 years, this investment is the way to go!  Golf courses get caught by the downward spiraling economy and can’t afford to maintain their greens at the same level.  Then customers see the quality drop and go elsewhere, especially when greens are aerified and not properly sanded or there is a drought they take forever to heal.  Our greens never have that problem.”

The Project is a 3-green, 9-fairway and tee complex with 5 par 4's from 300-385 yards, 4 par 3's from 90-175 yards in length and plays 2,235 yards in length as 9 holes. The project features spectacular green complexes, professionally shaped fairways, over 7,000 sq ft of Harmony Links Commercial Greens, and 1st Cut Fringe and design by Harmony Links Golf’s award-winning architect, Terry LaGree.  There are 6-cup locations on each green.  Construction was completed in approximately in 3 weeks.
